We went to Myrtle Beach this past weekend and had a great time. We tricked Ian and packed the trunk while he was at ball practice. Then when I picked him up from school friday I told him we were going to try to go find this place I heard about to eat dinner. It took everything Caitlin had not to bust out laughing after we pretended to be lost for 2 hours and then just had to eat at a Wendy's. Then I said well I guess lets find our way home. Lucky for us he fell asleep right before we starting reaching Beach signs and so we got to wake him up at the hotel. He was soooo surprised. He said "you know when you are so happy you feel like you have to pee but you don't really have to pee, thats how I feel." We all fell out laughing.
We took the kids to a big car show over by the new Hard Rock park and I think they both found cars they liked.
We went to eat at the Dixie Stampede and the kids loved it. We got to see singing, dancing, minature horse races, a stampede, a chicken chase, a pig race and Ian's favorite "nugget" the dancing chicken.

After checkout we went to Broadway at the Beach and to Ripley's Aquarium. On the way home we purchased two new hermit crabs, Bruce and VW (volkswagon). We had an amazing trip and we can't wait to go back.
I am a newly single mom of two great kids. We are blessed family with the most amazing support group of friends anyone can ask for. We are reminded daily of the difference between needs and wants and have learned that when you simplify your everyday life you miss a whole lot less of it. There are times you question choices you make in your life but I truely believe if you surrender it all and become completely silent God shows you the way and you know things are right because the blessing out number anything you could have even dreamed of.
